A wide range of standard
plastic compounds are available from Utex for injection molded parts including
Nylons, PPS, PEEK, Polyethersulfone, Polyurethanes, Polypropylene, Polyethylene,
ABS, Acetol, thermoset plastics, and thermoplastic elastomers. In addition to
these standard compounds, Utex has trained chemists that will specially modify
existing compounds, or develop new compounds to meet the requirements of your
particular application. Each compound is thoroughly tested over a broad range of
conditions to insure performance.
Utex also offers compression
molded plastics that can be machined to the exact shape to meet your criteria.
Some of the usual compression moldable compounds are: Nylon, PPS, and PEEK.
Compression molded plastics offer greater flexibility when prototyping of new
designs does not warrant the extra expense of a new mold. Our engineers can show
you how plastics can be more cost effective and outperform many of the metal
parts you are using today.
