UTEX® "WF" Design
"Short Stack" Packings (PATENTED)
|
Utex® "WF" Design "Short
Stack" packing is designed to seal automatically in dynamic applications
where stuffing box space is limited. The unique design does not require adapters
that waste space in many other designs. Since no adapters are used, you can
stack individual rings instead of sets which allows you more flexibility.
The short stack height of each sealing ring gives
design engineers the ability to use compact stuffing boxes which allows longer
strokes in shorter stuffing boxes or cylinders. The automatic sealing design of
our "WF" rings means less gland pressure is necessary to actuate the
seal. This allows the packing to run cooler and longer than other packing of
similar design.
Utex "WF" design packing is available in a
variety of standard materials, or our engineers can recommend a special compound
to meet your specific needs.
