UTEX "WQ" &
"WWF" Design "Tall Stack" Packings (PATENTED)

Utex® "WQ" and "WWF" design
packings are an engineered approach to sealing that take the place of two-piece
and three-piece packings. Neither design requires top or bottom adapters, and
both are capable of sealing effectively across a wide range of applications.
Both designs can be furnished molded or as extrusions out of most homogeneous
elastomers. Fabric or wire mesh reinforcement is available in the molded version
of these seals.
The "WQ" design seal is available in Style
0380 extruded strip as well as in a molded version. Style 0380 extruded "WQ"
is available in cross-sections from 3/16" to 1 ¼" in size, either
continuous or cut to size. Maintaining a small inventory of "WQ"
extruded strip will allow you greater flexibility with delivery schedules, while
decreasing your inventory of other products. Simply take the strip out of stock,
cut it to size and vulcanize the ends together for a seal in minutes.
Utex Style 0808 Centrifugal Pump Packings are available
prepackaged in sets for most popular pumps. The sets consist of "WQ"
design rings in combination with a lantern ring and a braided ring. The tough,
abrasion resistant nitrile "WQ" rings seal without scoring the shaft
and need little adjustment once installed.
Utex Style 0881 rings are fabric reinforced nitrile in
our proven "WWF" design configuration. This ring is a direct
replacement for the old-fashioned 'U-cup', but the "WWF" ring does not
require the pedestal ring necessary for the other design. Style 0881 rings are
available in standard and engineered compounds.
All Utex "WWF" & "WQ" design
seal rings are engineered to fit J.I.C standard cavities. Many materials are
standard, and special compounds can be developed for your application. Contact Utex or your
